Together for an inter-institutional synergy
The Verona Minor Hierusalem claim, “A city to discover together“, shows the spirit of the Project and also its protagonists: the people of Verona! The city enhancement concerns first all its inhabitants, who are, as a consequence, directly involved in the program.
For the same reason, even before it became a real project, several local institutions and organizations embraced the idea, understanding its potential and contributing to its realization.
Mutual interest and participation, in fact, guarantee the access to the best resources of the community for the economic, social and political development of Verona.
The Diocese, in the person of its Vicar for Culture, University and Social Justice, Don Martino Signoretto, decided to reopen some churches and guarantee their free access to the public. In particular, Don Martino also wanted to restore the spiritual meaning of the ancient Verona Minor Hierusalem, that atmosphere that, for hundreds of years, had made the city a destination for pilgrimages and a place of great inspiration for artists and devotees. With the homonymous project “Verona Minor Hierusalem, a city to be valorised together” the Diocese has restored splendid treasures and a common heritage for the whole city.
Thorough the collaboration with Verona Minor Hierusalem, Banca Popolare di Verona wanted to be an active part in a major project to enhance some of the most important jewels of Verona’s artistic and spiritual heritage. A new way of being a “banca del territorio”, a “people’s bank” by choice.
